Fully immersive experience
An immersive heritage experience that told the stories of real people.
Based on our extensive consultation, we researched, developed, designed and delivered a fully immersive experience for the newly-renovated Victorian stable block at the museum.
We created all of the content for the exhibition using archival research including census records, local archives and oral histories. We created an immersive heritage experience that not only contextualised the story of the historic museum buildings both locally and nationally, but we told the stories of real people.
We told engaging stories drawing on the lives of the people who lived and worked there. A range of interpretive approaches from smells to ambient sound to Harry Potter style talking picture frames were employed, ensuring that the exhibition would appeal to a variety of age groups and learning styles.
Combined with touch-screens, graphics, period style sign writing and object-handling this created an engaging and immersive experience that responded to audience needs.
